Greystones

Greystones is a beautifully restored stone cottage in the village of Reeth, perfect for families, groups of friends or couples looking for extra space, to enjoy a peaceful stay in the Yorkshire Dales. Once part of Askrigg House—a property built in 1910 by my great-great-grandfather—Greystones shares in the rich industrial and social history of the village. The cottage formed part of the original corn mill complex, which went on to generate electricity for Reeth in the early 20th century.

Today, Greystones offers a cosy blend of traditional character and modern comfort. With thick stone walls and views across Fremington Edge, it’s the perfect base for exploring Swaledale. You're just a short stroll from Reeth’s pubs, tea rooms, and local walks, yet tucked away enough to enjoy complete relaxation.

Whether you're enjoying the woodburning stove after a long walk or planning your next Dales adventure, Greystones invites you to slow down and soak up the charm of this special place.
