Charlie’s Stable



Charlie’s Stable is a compact, characterful retreat set within the grounds of what was once Reeth’s historic corn milling complex, then an industrial hub producing electricity for the village.

Lovingly converted from a traditional stone outbuilding, this cosy cottage is named after a much-loved pony who once lived here – a nod to the building’s more recent rural life before it was thoughtfully restored as guest accommodation. The history of this building has been kept very much alive, with original beams, a hay rack staircase bannister and a large vaulted ceiling upstairs.

Although only sleeping 2 people, Charlie’s Stable doesn’t compromise on charm or comfort. Ideal for solo travellers or couples, it offers a quiet, private space just a short walk from Reeth’s market green. The stable retains its rustic charm while providing everything you need for a relaxing self-catering stay – including a small riverside garden for morning coffee or stargazing after dark. Whether you’re here to walk, unwind, or enjoy the Dales with your dog, Charlie’s Stable is a peaceful base with a unique story to tell.
