Precautions we are taking to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests...

Cleanliness has always been our top priority. But now, it’s even more critical, as we all aim to reduce the spread of infection
  • We will be ventilating all areas before and during our cleaning, allowing the air to circulate and therefore reducing the risk of infection from particles in the air.
  • We will always be working using appropriate PPE. This includes anything that we may deem necessary.
  • We will be cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces. This includes door knobs, light switches and any area that could have been touched. We will be using watered down bleach, which is proven to kill viruses on contact.
  • We always empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning. We also wipe down the vacuum cleaner with disinfectant, and wipe appliances such as the dishwasher, washing machine, fridges and freezers.
  • All utensils will be washed and sanitised, cutlery, crockery etc is placed in the dishwasher on a hot cycle for your arrival.
  • We spray soft furnishings like blankets and cushions with an anti viral spray.
  • All linens come from a reputable laundry company, thermally disinfected, and remain in sealed boxes until we make up the beds.
  • All under-sheets / pillow protectors / mattress protectors will be changed in between each guest.
  • We always stock hand soap, lotion and cleaning products in each cottage for you to use.
We hope you can rest assured that we are doing all we can to make your stay with us during this pandemic as amazing as it usually would be. Please get in touch if you have any other queries or concerns that we may be able to help you with.

What to expect during your stay in Reeth...

This information may have changed by the time of your stay.

  • Pubs, cafes etc are open, with appropriate restrictions in place.
  • Booking tables is advised for each place.
  • The village shops are restricting the number of people allowed in. You may have to queue (at a 2m distance) outside.
  • Walking the many footpaths around Swaledale is absolutely fine! We do recommend bringing some hand sanitising gel with you to use whilst you are not near adequate facilities to wash your hands properly. A large bottle of sanitising gel is provided by us for use during your stay.
  • Instead of having the cottage information folder in the cottage, we will email you with a PDF version for your arrival, so you will have all information for your stay. This will include links to pubs that are doing takeaways, along with all the other house information necessary.

Please do get in touch if you have any other queries about your stay.

We look forward to welcoming you back!
